Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Support: Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Community Integration: Support clients in accessing community resources and participating in social, recreational, and educational activities.
  • Skill Development: Help clients develop and maintain independent living skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and using public transport.
  • Health and Safety: Monitor and manage clients’ health and well-being, ensuring prompt attention to any medical needs.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of client progress and prepare reports for management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other professionals, including healthcare providers and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support for clients.

Qualifications:

  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Community Services, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in disability support or a similar role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
